Bit value
Trigger an alarm on a single bit within a packed numeric value.
A bit value condition watches one bit inside a tag’s numeric value. Many devices pack several flags into one status word — bit 0 is “running”, bit 1 is “fault”, and so on — and this condition lets you alarm on a single one of them without first splitting the word into separate tags.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Source tag | The tag whose value holds the bits. |
| Bit index | Which bit to watch, counting from 0 (the least-significant bit). |
| Value | The bit state that triggers the alarm — set (1) or clear (0). |
How it triggers
The condition is met when the bit at bit index equals the chosen value.
For example, watching bit index 1 for a value of set alarms whenever the
fault bit of a status word is 1, regardless of the other bits.
