Overview
The THMI Cloud application — the central hub for managing your projects and data.
The Cloud application is the central, web-based home of THMI. It brings together the data from every building you manage and is where you do most of your work — organizing projects, configuring what’s collected, building screens, and managing alarms, trends, and users.
New to THMI? Start with Getting started and the core concepts first; this section assumes you’re familiar with projects, tags, and alarms.
Finding your way around
Your work in the Cloud falls into two broad areas:
- A project — everything to do with a single building: its tags, alarms, trends, pages, and more. Most day-to-day work happens here.
- Administration — settings that span your whole organization: users and groups, the servers that feed your projects, access tokens, and the audit log.
Within both areas, features are grouped under Monitoring (observing your data and responding to it) and Administration (configuring things and controlling access).
The project switcher at the top of the sidebar moves you between projects without going back to the project list, and Ctrl/⌘ + K opens a quick switcher that jumps to any project, user, server, or section by name. See Finding things.
Common tasks
- Work with projects — open, create, and configure a building’s project.
- Manage tags and devices — set up the data points collected from your equipment.
- Set up alarms — be alerted when something needs attention, and respond in the Alarm Manager.
- Chart your data with trends — see how values change over time.
- Find things fast — the search syntax and the list controls that work the same way everywhere.
