Limits
Filter out invalid readings by constraining a tag to a range or set of values.
Limits filter out invalid readings, so a sensor glitch or out-of-range spike doesn’t pollute your data, alarms, and trends. Enable limits on a tag and choose a limit type.
Range
Accept only values within a numeric range:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allowed range (min / max) | Values outside this range are filtered out. |
| Cutoff duration | Values outside the allowed range are only filtered out if the breach lasts within this duration — letting brief excursions through while rejecting sustained invalid readings. |
Dynamic range
A range that isn’t fixed but is bounded by other tags — useful when the valid window itself changes over time.
Set
Accept only specific allowed values. Enter the allowed values separated by
semicolons (for example 1; 2; 3); anything else is filtered out. Useful for
enumerated or state values.
