Formatting
Control how a tag's value is displayed — decimals and units.
Formatting controls how a tag’s value is displayed — it doesn’t change the stored value, only its presentation on pages, in lists, and in trends. Enable formatting on a tag to configure it.
Format string
The format string sets how the number is shown — for example how many
decimal places. Use # for optional digits and . for the decimal separator:
#.#shows one decimal place.#.##shows up to two decimal places.
A live preview shows how an example value will appear with your format.
Units
A unit is appended to the displayed value. Choose a unit type:

|---|---|
| None | No unit shown. |
| Metric | Pick a metric unit (e.g. temperature, pressure, flow). |
| Imperial | Pick an imperial unit. |
| Custom | Enter any unit text of your own. |
