Create a tag

Add a tag to a project, step by step, from the Tags view.

Tags are created from a project’s Tags view. Open the project and select Tags in the sidebar.

Add a tag

Click New and choose what to add:

• Folder — a folder to organize tags.
• Device — then pick a protocol to add a device to read from.
• Tag — then pick a tag type.

Every object asks for a couple of shared details first:

• Name — how the tag appears in the app.
• Custom name (optional) — an alternative name shown to users who enabled custom names.

The remaining fields depend on the tag’s protocol or type — see Device tags and Function tags for every setting.

Manage a tag

In a tag’s row, click to Rename or Delete it.

Select rows with their checkboxes (or the header checkbox to select all) to act on several at once — the Selection menu then offers bulk Edit, Copy, Move, and Delete.
